Crown Breakdown and Felling of Large Trees IA (over 760mm)

Duration:          2 days Training with an integrated City & Guilds NPTC Assessment 

Attendees:        max. 4 per course

Venue:              This is normally completed at our site locally to Llanidloes, in Powys.         
                         If you have enough people for a full course we are able to run this course on your site (subject to a pre-course visit).

Pre-requisites:  Chainsaw Maintenance & Crosscutting, Felling & Processing Trees up to 380mm, Felling & Processing Trees over 380mm, Assisted Felling

Qualification:    0021-19 or 0021-17

Course Objectives:

  • To be able to promote health and safety and good industry practice.
  • To be able to fell large trees using a chainsaw.
  • To be able to remove branches and breakdown crowns using a chainsaw.
  • To understand relevant health and safety legislation and industry good practice.
  • To understand how to fell large trees using a chainsaw.
  • To know how to remove branches from felled trees using a chainsaw
  • To present produce as specified for subsequent extraction or loading.
  • To be able to work safely.
